In each of our daily lives
There will come blessings
Ones we may seek to embrace
Or some we’ll simply ignore

Some promise your spirit
To bring alive perfect bliss
One who grows and blossoms
Blessing one with a kiss

There comes a time when
One must make a decision
To choose the most lovely
Essence life can bring

One must learn to humble
Their selfish heart inside
Allowing His light of life
Into their hearts to sing

For one will never be happy
With the life flesh alone brings
As one day it becomes dust
Along with its death penalty

Yet if one desires true peace
In a selfless genuine way
Then one must truly turn away
From worldly desires in life today.

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things
in the world. If anyone loves the
world, the love of the Father is not
in him. For all that is in the world
the desires of the flesh and the
desires of the eyes and pride in
possessions—is not from the Father
but is from the world. And the world
is passing away along with its desires,
but whoever does the will of God
abides forever.
