The day when I lost all my possessions
There was something special I found to stay
Crushed in spirit without anything worldly
Before I could kneel on my knees to pray

Your Spirit touched my heart deep within
Chasing the clouds of needless sorrows away
It was at that very moment You reminded me
Where my faith should always stay each day

Your arms have always embraced me tightly
Each new morning of life holding me close
Always letting me know in my trying times
I was one of many whom You loved the most

Letting me know You saw my daily struggles
Seeing how the enemy in my life was at play
Reassuring me not to worry about tomorrow
For in my life, he would not have his way

You lifted me making me stand strong in faith
As from Your lips, these sweet words were spoken
I am the good shepherd who will always be with you
And in My embrace, you’ll not be lost or broken.

Psalm 34:4
I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.

2 Corinthians 4: 16-18
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self
is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed
day by day. For this light momentary affliction
is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory
beyond all comparison, as we look not to the
things that are seen but to the things that are
unseen. For the things that are seen are transient,
but the things that are unseen are eternal.
