I have been blessed by your discipline
You have opened my heart and eyes to see
Each day which I’m able to spend with you
Further away from worldly sin I will be

In the past, I thought I had sole control
Over the things, I would daily say and do
But I found it all to be a terrible lie
Looking backward, in life, it was never true

Many times, I encountered the faces of sin
As a slave to evil it would always increase
Being entangled by its all-encompassing web
Of this horrible stalking ever consuming beast

My heart it seemed was overwhelmed each day
As what little strength I had was taken away
While I was surely headed for an early grave
With none who cared to help me find my way

Yet while trying to think about any options
One day I turned from his continuing lies
Embracing a treasure which was never hidden
That in my failing life was always nearby

In a most desperate completely humbled state
My broken heart now reached out to the One
Full of deep need and true selfless repentance
For all and any acts of sin I once had done

On my knees, I begged the Lord feverously
He might turn a kind forgiving eye my way
Lifting me from this pending pit of death
Where it seemed my spirit was about to lay

And you Lord, pardoned me for all my errors
Giving life to one who was dying inside
Filling me with Your tender love and grace
Cleansing a darkening spirit with your Light

Thinking about the change these past few days
My heart now dances with such pure delight
While my heart happily sings sweet praises
Thanking you Lord Christ for saving my life.

1 Timothy 2:5
“There Is One God And One Mediator Between God
And Men, The Man Christ Jesus.”

John 3:8
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one
can see the kingdom of God unless they are
born again.” “How can someone be born when they
are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot
enter a second time into their mother’s womb to
be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you,
no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they
are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives
birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to
spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying,
‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever
it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot
tell where it comes from or where it is going.
So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
I shared this because someone asked a question about
how to approach God for forgiveness in an article I
read. May all of you, my brothers and sisters have
a very blessed weekend.
