a blessing for all who suffured, a genuine lasting love, embrace by our love and prayers, faculty, families, our beautiful flowers, our blessings, our children, our treasure, Parkland Florida
Where have all our beautiful flowers gone
Each so very special in their own way
Where have all our young flowers gone
Why has this world’s evil taken them away
Where have all our young flowers gone
Oh Lord, we miss them in so many ways
And it’s hard to accept the reason they left
As our grief overwhelms us so much today
For our souls are broken in many, many pieces
While our hearts are deeply wrought with pain
We know from this moment forward in our lives
Nothing in our world will again be the same
Where have all our little flowers gone to
Though it may seem they are now far away
The jewels of our lives are still very near
For in our hearts, their smiles brightly stay
Even as our hearts deeply weep for all of them
In all their faces an angel’s smile, we’ll see
Knowing our Lord has embraced each one lovingly
Giving their spirits the blessing of heavenly gain.
I rewrote one of my previous poems…to sad to
write something new, right now.

For the innocents lost, and injured today at
at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in
Parkland Florida. May the prayers of all Americans
embrace all the families!

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed,
for I am your God; I will strengthen you,
I will help you, I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand.

I read there have been 18 shootings since Jan 1st. It has to stop or our country will be destroyed by white male children with assault rifles. We need to stop thinking about building walls to keep Mexicans out, and start thinking why a 18 year old male child has an arsenal of weapons including an AK47, a rifle meant for war. And why he wanted to shoot 67 innocent random children. And why he wrote about this on instagram for two years, and why he was expelled from school, and why nothing was done about this, for two years. And what it wrong with our country and our families that we are breeding children like this, and doing nothing about it. My last job as a college Mental Health Director, was to keep our campus safe, by following up intensely on students like this person, with police and mental health systems. There are protocols that I, and others wrote, that work, to help students like this one, to control them, so it never gets to this point. It can be done with effort. Why isn’t it being done?
I am so sad and frustrated.

I am like you my sister, we can only pray, but I still fill an empty space within! I pray for their families, for no one should suffer the loss of a child! God bless you and your family, Cindy!

What a comfort in the time of such suffering to know that we have a God – Jesus – who will never leave us, even when we think He’s distant, He’s very near. I love you my dear Brother!

Evil is growing and we are responsible for so much laxity.
May God by His spirit comfort the hearts.

It was such a shocking incident! I wonder what made an 18-year-old so frustrated that he took so many innocent lives… 😦

Many of our young are influenced by the world, some by the good, and some by the evil. We can only pray that many may not fall prey to the abounding evil in this world! I pray each night and each morning for all who are alive in this world. God bless you and your family, my sister!
