Each day you become alive and more worldly
Easily to another giving your heart away
You have chosen a very different path
Accepting the treasures which daily fade

Your hearts and souls have become empty
As each day you have begun to really see
That no matter how much your hands gather
You will never find what your spirit needs

You have listened to another’s empty calling
Which each day fills your heart with greed
You have become a slave to a heartless one
Who fills your mind with many empty dreams

And each Sunday as you rise to go to church
It is not your heavenly God above you seek
As your deepest spiritual hunger misleads you
Leaving you to follow a false one who is a thief

You have turned away from our genuine teacher
Who humbly sought to teach you the one true way
So one day in this world of quick dying flesh
You’ll find the one true reality which never fades

Because following the worldly path which enslaves
Will only strip you of your entire life and soul
Leaving you to realize when the ending moment comes
The treasure the world offered is but fool’s gold.

Joshua 24:15
If you think it’s the wrong thing for you to serve
the LORD, then choose for yourselves today whom you
will serve the gods whom your ancestors served on
the other side of the Euphrates River, or the gods
of the Amorites in whose territories you are living.
But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
