I have sought you each day fiercely
With the immense fury of raging storms
I have sought you, Lord, so desperately
As a beggar roams the city seeking food

I have sought you in this material world
To protect me from the world’s sinfulness
I have sought you as a lost, lonely child
Crying for his dear mother’s embrace

For I have great need of the strength
Which only you can adorn my life with
I have great need of your daily grace
Which only you can provide me each day

Let me taste of the final reality Lord
That my heart may find its final comfort
Knowing whether I am alive or dead
I have the assurance I will be with you

Smile upon me Lord and listen to my words
For even though they are only my thoughts
They are true jewels to adorn your garden
Which is In your heavenly paradise above

With every hungry moment of time in my day
I seek to eat daily of your living Word
That I may have my fill of its nourishment
As my daily reward in this my new beginning.

Ephesians 4:22-24
“You were taught, with regard to your former
way, of life, to put off your old self, which
is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
to be made new in the attitude of your minds;
and to put on the new self, created to be like
God in true righteousness and holiness.”
