You were born into this world for me
Also for the many who would believe
You appeared among us your creations
So from our sins you might set us free

Never have you Lord charged a single penny
For the precious living word which you speak
And though you appeared in the flesh like us
Your heart never coveted wealth or sinful greed

Your healing hands reached out to all you met
As so many in this world you sought to lead
Never trying to profit from the poor and widows
Yet much in their hearts you would freely leave

You never chose to have very much materially
Though all that exists in this world is yours
Yet humbly you came into this world among us
Enriching us with the grace you kept in store

Many always shout claims they believe in you
But from others they seek always to take away
Longing in their hearts to be another’s master
Leaving so many crushed spirits along the way

I only desire to be Christ like in my dealings
For in my life there will never be another way
I want others to see what its like to live humbly
With your spirit of love teaching them each day

Lord, please remember me each morning when I rise
Know by the grace of your spirit I want to be led
Permit me to emulate your life’s humbleness each day
While never forsaking me to taste your daily bread

For my time is very fleeting in this world’s life
And before by your grace my spirit is called away
Allow me to be a vessel who shares your life-light
To many seeking in their lives to emulate your ways.

Proverbs 3:1-35
My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my
commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace
they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness
forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet
of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the
sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and
do not lean on your own understanding.
