My heart is sad and
lonely, as my day
drifts slowly by
There are many moments
when I feel empty,
and so lonely I could
die
For hearts in love
were never meant to be
apart for very long
And right now my heart is
lonely, and the feeling
seems so very wrong
I understand moments
will enter our lives,
when we will face some
lonesome times
Yet, when we are not
together, to my wanting
heart it becomes a
hideous crime.
(1987)
there were times in the
military where my wife
would do temporary duty
at another base for about
a month…those were
lonesome times.

Wendell, your love for your wife blesses me (and others I’m sure). My husband and I have always been amazed at how some couples can stand to be apart so much. We’re so glad that we’ve rarely been separated by more than a night or two.

Thank you Wendy, after the Lord she is my best friend! Her mother used to say we were Siamese twins connected at the lips! Have a very blessed Friday and weekend my sister!

Wendell, I cannot fathom that kind of love for another human being. I’ve never experienced that kind of love from anyone and wouldn’t want to. It took a while for me to stop insisting that others love me the way that I wanted to be loved and to love in return. But, the Lord never allowed that kind of all consuming love in my life. If He had, I would never have grown to love and depend on Him, as I do. I’m grateful that the Father has blessed you to share that kind of love with your wife. She must be a wonderful lady.

It began for me with Gods love, the poems began coming for Him after asking him to change my life in 1971-72 a gift he blessed me with.He places his love within us and nourishes us! I asked him one day to find me a wife, and i would trust in his choice. Six months later and over 1000 miles away, I met her, became friends first, dated the old fashioned way. And three months later married, and this year it will be 38 years. But the key was I asked God to choose for me, and that I would wait patiently on his choice. I give him the glory for that blessing! Thanks for the blessing of your visit and have a wonderfully blessed weekend!

I love God first and I love the blessing I received in my wife when I asked him to choose a wife for me. I knew I would make a mistake being human! There are a lot of romantic poems I have written because of my love for her. When I look at her, I see God, and when I see God I am reminded of his love and also her love, both never change! I will occasionally share more written for her! Thank you always But know I will always write of my love for him first! God bless!
