Take a look before you speak
Think about what your eyes do see
Travel the deep recesses of your mind
Before you judge others that you meet

If we were all born in this world perfect
Then in all things we each would win
But we have been tarnished by a brush
Painted by our fathers and mothers sin

Look at yourself and realize
All the past things which you have done
Seeing everything which was wrong and sinful
What if tonight a taste of hell would come?

For we are not here in a perfect state
And so often each day we truthfully fail
For Jesus said that the person is a liar
If within his flesh is not found sins trail

So when you speak be not quick to judge
But treat others as you would yourself
Speak kind words of sweet encouragement
So one day you may taste of Christ’s wealth.
